“ Hunan is the best by far! Amazing Worth my one hour drive! Will be back I can't say I've had better Chinese anywhere else ”
“ We had a great dinner here last night. No wait and a friendly staff, very clean and quick service. We got the $20 each meal deal that came with wonton soup, 4 crab rangoons and 2 spring rolls, and fried rice, sweet n sour pork (we did chicken) and cashew chicken all to share. The sweet n sour chicken was drenched in sauce, I'd ask for it on the side next time, but it was just ok for me. The fried rice was good. The cashew chicken was my fave, lots of fresh veggies and yummy chicken. The crab Rangoon was ok, liked the spring rolls more. Wonton soup was HUGE and pretty tasty. All in all we enjoyed it and would recommend it. ”
“ This place is a HIDDEN GEM! My Family and I have been going to Tahoe for all of our lives and somehow we have missed this A+ Chinese Restaurant. We were in the mood to try something new, and we decided on Chinese food. After we did a search on yelp, Hunan Garden caught our eye. With a wide range of food from hearty soups to flavorful dishes of rice, orange chicken, chow mein, shrimp (tons of different variations) and the list goes on! The service was absolutely amazing! We never had to ask for drink refills, our waiter was constantly checking on us to see if we needed anything. From the time we placed our order to receiving the food was fast. When it comes to portion sizes Hunan Garden doesn't hold back. We order a variety of things to try out. We are a family of 5 but when the food came, it look like they were serving an army . The food tastes as good as it looks. Everything was cooked to perfection! You can tell the workers have a lot of pride in what they do. Waiters giving A+ service, the cooks making amazing dishes, and to the busser making sure the restaurant is spotless and it was! If you're looking for an amazing Chinese restaurant look no further because Hunan Garden Restaurant is everything you're looking for and more! ”
“ Yum! Just came randomly and got the house noodles, orange chicken, and Mongolian beef. We wiped it all clean! Very delicious ”
“ Hunan beef is the best. Not too much people. No waiting. Parking lot is small but ok. ”
“ A good 10-15mins drive from Stateline but well worth it. Food is made to order. We ordered a bunch and it could feed up to 4-5ppl easily and it only came to about $65, without tip. Salt and pepper fish fillet was piping hot with large chunks of fish. Mongolian beef had a kick but it was perfect to eat with the beef chow func. So much flavors. Mushu pork, I miss this dish so much. Had to get it when I saw it on the menu. It was a large portion We couldn't finish what we ordered so it was perfect for lunch the next day. Fast service. And worth the drive. ”
“ Date: Monday, June 17th, 2024 Time: around 7:15pm Party of: 4 Meal: Dinner 4. Pot Stickers: 6 ($11.50) 11. Hot & Sour Soup: small ($10.95) 30. Princess Calamari: sauce on side ($16.95) 87. Hot & Spicy Garlic String Beans ($13.95) 99. Beef Chow Fun ($14.95) *Salt Pepper Pork ($14.95) *White Rice ($2) My parents were up in Tahoe with the hubby and I helping us remodel. My mom of course is like me. Always looks around for food spots when in a different city. And what does she like looking for? Chinese food of course! She stumbled upon a picture of beef chow fun from Hunan Garden and suggested we come here. There were a few tables seated, so they told us we could pick a four top anywhere in the section to the right. So did the ngau ho (dry beef chow fun) live up to the hype? Actually it did. It was nicely stir fried and had good flavor. My other fav was the string beans. Nicely dry fried and spicy. They don't have salt pepper pork on their menu, but they have salt pepper shrimp, so we asked if they could do the same prep with pork. (They speak Cantonese here. My parents are more or less from HK.) Pricing was the same as the other pork dishes on their menu. After dinner, I realized I had forgotten to order the Hunan Chicken Wings! The hubs and I will be back here every weekend for a while, so I may have to come back and try them at one point. REVIEW #3458 ”
“ After a long day of skiing, we ordered Chinese takeout and this restaurant was a minute away from our Airbnb! The order was ready when we arrived. We ordered a wide selection of items including combination chow fun, Mongolian beef, General Tso's chicken, mu shu deluxe, Sze Chuan, hot and sour soup, and wonton soup. Everything was good. ”
